I have known VJ for the past 4 years,


He has been in the capacity of Date Modeler , Database Developer Administrator, in the assignments he worked on I have observed his performance to be superior as compared to his peers.


He is an exemplary employee and a valuable asset to the organization.

VJ demonstrated his abilities while working on the ODS/RODS/DAL redesigning Maintenance Jobs.


In this assignment , VJ took the initiative to re-design all the maintenance jobs. The new design is much more robust, and flexible and provides more information to Operate and DBA teams on what is happening and how long it is taking etc. With this new implementation.


The program has the intelligence to send notifications to the Operate and AD when things are not progressing as expected.


This was implemented in production in Nov-2011. The program has improved the overall performance of maintenance jobs.


This is directly helping the overall business to the greater extent. Now the data would be available to business very early.

Another assignment where VJ distinguished himself was.


IB Technology & Operations is running a multi-year Strategic Reengineering Program (RDT Strategic) to consolidate Reference Data Systems across many areas and building a Corporate Reference Data Repository to suit to complex business requirements and provide additional data quality. As part of this initiative, IB Risk Tech has started to build a new infrastructure to source the data from RDT Strategic.


Vijaya quickly understood the business requirements and design of the environment in a very short time, he developed code to meet tight deadlines. This application went to into Production in Jun-2011. This business logic is spread over multiple areas, 70% of the business logic is developed in Java and 30% business logic is developed Database PL/SQL


Additionally, VJ took the initiative to do postmortem. He came up with numerous ideas and translated them into the solutions to simplify overall process and proposed a new architecture, The project went into Production in Nov-2011. This new architecture has brought down the overall storage space by 50% and improved the overall performance.

VJ is an asset to his team and CRI, I am recommending him for recognition, he has exceeded all expectations.

I have been working with Vijaya for more than 3 years. During this period, he proved to me he was a very motivated, very knowledgeable team player. He was always willing to help out other co-workers for any issue.



I worked with him in the same US office and continue to work with him after he moved back to India. He always took responsibility for all aspects of his assignments. He knew when and what was the right question to ask. I was more impressed when he moved back to India. He managed to keep all the projects moving even he had much less opportunities, due to time zone difference, to verify the detail requirement with the US requesters.

I am sure he is an asset to any team he might join.

Hi Manoj,







Vijay has contributed in significant way to manage large database objects in CRI environment.


Some of the highlights of his contributions:


• Actively participate in troubleshooting index corruption issue in TPBP. Collaboration between DBA, AD Team (Vijaya Kadiyala & Darrel Kwong), and Oracle support has finally identified the root cause of the issues, and resolved the problem after applying Oracle patches. It was a complex issue to resolve, which took over 30days to gather forensics and analyze many trace files before we close the issue.


• Vijay initiated effort to compress ULOG tables, which is a common logging table. This has positive performance impact on many applications in TPBP which share this logging table. The new partitioned table structures would allow purging to reduce storage foot print, as well as partition pruning to improve query performance.


• Implemented enhancement for ODS/RODS/DAL partition maintenance. This new initiatives shortened maintenance window by enabling multi threading, as well as completed partition compression on historical data. In summary, this effort has reclaimed about 3TB of storage.






Overall, Vijay has shown his strong dedication to provide supports to DBA team at late night hours and weekends.

He is an excellent asset to any team.

He is an excellent technical resource, in that he is highly proficient in Microsoft tools and database technologies.

Vijaya likes to be challenged and thrives in situations where his knowledge is put to the test.

He is able to think both proactively and reactively to situations that need to be resolved and will always find solutions to problems even when others are tempted to give up.

His is able to see the ‘big picture’, but is able to implement at the micro level.

His is very thorough, ensuring that whatever he implements will be correct the first time, saving time and effort as no rework is required.

He is also an excellent team player, willing to share is his ideas with his peers and assisting others whenever the need arises.

Additionally, he is always approachable and makes every attempt to be inclusive.

Last year I have worked with Vijaya and I have been requested to provide my feedback on him.


Last year, Vijaya worked with me for few months on a very complicated project with notorious deadline. Vijaya helped me with the data modeling & analysis for different BDSS Databases.


Vijaya is very knowledgeable, diligent and creative. He provided number of new sound ideas on data modeling. His skill for data modeling is excellent. He was also very quick to pick up the business (brokerage) significance of the data. He had a very professional attitude and never missed any delivery date though he was simultaneously working on more than one projects. The quality of his output was excellent too.


It was a real pleasure working with him.
In short he has truly exceeded all my expectations.


I am looking forward to work with him again (provided we are given with another opportunity).

The genius behind the Data Direct tool is Vijay K. Assuming you can he can discuss the development approach, and the tool can support it (which I believe it can), then it would "cost" a lot less to modify this tool to address the changes.

Hi Amit and Reginald,

I have worked with Mr. Kadiyala for more than nine months. I find him to be extremely capable on a number of fronts, for example he is able to:

manage multiple, complex tasks simultaneously, bring a fresh perspective a problem and propose/implement solutions that address the original problem as well as various derivatives of the original problem perviously not considered, and work with a diverse team, always managing to be the calming voice of leadership based on sound reasoning.

When I first started working with Vijaya K. I found that we did not provide to him the proper tools to make him as effective as possible (e.g., lack of access to systems, no laptop, etc.), however, despite these limitations, during that time I notice that he was helping all the key teams to be productive. He was helping Calc Srvc and Reference Data teams to define their DB structures and processes to load them, and finally, he worked with Reporting team to do the same. But for all teams he did more then that. He was always working hard/creatively to help said teams solve problems that were not part of his original remit. This additional assistance often made the difference between success or failure of a particular project life-cycle phase. Most recently, he worked on my Data Direct project, his performance, dedication and drive was/is a model of the "ideal consultant". He has taken my idea, understood it principles and has delivered a better solution then even I could have imagined.
